Scott Hamilton: founder of the iconoclastic magazine 'Salt' in the late 90's, Scott has never been far from controversy. His writings on world events have been published and often translated by the left-wing papers of several countries. For two years he was editor of 'brief' magazine in Auckland (the journal started by Alan Loney in 1995). Hamilton recently completed a Ph.D in Sociology. His first collection of essays and poetry was To the Moon, In Seven Easy Steps. In his own words: "My favourite movies are John O'Shea's Runaway and John Sayles' Lone Star, my favourite book is Judith Binney's Redemption Songs, my favourite album is Syd Barrett's The Madcap Laughs."
