Jack
Ross teaches Academic and Creative Writing at Massey University's
Auckland campus. He has published a novella, Trouble in Mind
(2005), and The Imaginary Museum of Atlantis (2006)
with Titus Books, an earlier novel, Nights with Giordano Bruno
(2000) and has edited more than twenty literary journals including
the controversial Landfall 214. His sympathetic editorship
of Brief (2003-2005) expanded its domain and brought the journal
into the 21st century. Michael Steven has described him as a "maverick
translator", while Michael Morrisey has this to say about
him: "Tired of airport books? Bored by Tom Clancy and Dan
Brown? Wearied by puerile web sites? Seeking a challenge? Try
